Midbow Apartment is a traditional Edinburgh tenement flat with beautiful period features, situated half way up one of Edinburgh’s oldest and most celebrated streets, West Bow. It once led to one of the ancient gates of the City, and is now a bustling and colourful cobbled street of quirky shops, pubs and restaurants.
The one-bedroom Midbow Apartment is on the first floor, and is furnished with beautiful solid wood, vintage and antique furniture and original art. The bedroom has a solid teak superking four-poster bed, and the living room an amazing Clei foldaway metamorphic sofa bunk bed, as well as another sofa bed, so it sleeps 4 in comfort. It's ideal for short breaks, business and vacation rentals.
The Midbow Apartment is situated at the point that West Bow becomes Victoria Street, at the midpoint of a cobbled street that snakes up from the famous Grassmarket to the George IV Bridge, near where it joins the Royal Mile. The Lawnmarket and Grassmarket are less than a minute away, and the Castle, Greyfriars' Bobby and the Museum of Scotland are all within three minutes walk. All the other attractions and amenities of the Royal Mile are also nearby, and Waverley Station and Princes Street less than ten minutes on foot.
West Bow is right in the centre of Edinburgh's Old Town and is a vibrant thoroughfare, often remaining busy into the early hours. As the flat faces on to the street, and is located above the Bow Bar, be aware that this is not a suitable location for those who need absolute peace and quiet. The Bow Bar is, though, relatively unobtrusive as it does not allow music, fruit machines, stag or hen parties, and we have had many satisfied visitors staying at the flat, as you'll see on our TripAdvisor listing.
